Explore the Elk Mountain Home: A Highlight of the 2026 Parade of Homes

Please join Bruce Fleming at the 2026 Western North Carolina Parade of Homes. Located at 502 Elk Mountain Scenic Highway in Asheville, this custom residence offers a clear example of thoughtful mountain architecture. Bruce himself will be giving tours of the home.
It features a galley kitchen with granite countertops and island seating, a vaulted timber frame ceiling, full-height gable windows, and a fireplace. A full-length glass north wall overlooks the porch. Oak and fir paneled walls, ceilings, and floors add warmth throughout. Large outdoor living areas complete the experience, and a walk-out basement provides space for future finished bedrooms and living areas.
The home sits on the family home site and blends sunlight, natural materials, and open living with outdoor connections. Horizontal bands deliver accent lighting in the main areas, while the back porch looks out over Herron Cove.

The Parade of Homes runs October 17-18 and October 24-25, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Entry is free and open to the public, with both in-person and virtual options available.
Directions from Interstate 240: Take the Merrimon Avenue Exit 5A north from Asheville. Turn right on Beaverdam Road, then left on Elk Mountain Scenic Highway. Turn left into the driveway at 502. Please park to the right along the driveway and reserve the area at the house for turnaround space.
